Simply put, verti-draining is the process of inserting tines into the surface of the ground to break up compact soil and heaving at a designated angle. Also known as aeration or core cultivation, it's a specialised technique that punches holes into the surface down to 400mm (subject to conditions) and can be done with hollow tines to remove small cores or plugs from the ground, both the solid or hollow tine options create small channels that facilitates better air, water, and nutrients penetration into the soil.
